I made a Career Change in January of 2007 – Motherhood. From that day when Julia arrived, my life became consumed by her and every minute I had was about her, sometimes by choice, and sometimes not.
The internet and I became well acquainted and I became all too familiar with the fabulous world of online shopping – there was nothing better than finding that something that no one else had. The websites were endless and everything I could have ever dreamed of was only a click away.
My ideal shopping ventures came to a screaming halt when my little lady decided she was not a pram child and insisted on being carried, until of course she could walk and then she was on foot. It made any sort of shopping a nightmare and I valued even more the wonderful websites that were dedicated to mothers like myself, who resorted to shopping from home on the sofa at ridiculous hours of the night or day.
Now, two and a half years into my journey and the two words I hear often are “Please Mummy”. The terrible twos have also brought with them a sense of independence and decisiveness that mean Julia chooses her clothes, has a fascination with shoes and knows exactly what she wants to wear. What I have learned from my daughter is that clothes need to be fun, easy to wear and they must reflect the personality and style of the child within them.
As such, I too have taken an interest in styles for little people and now want to take this interest online, and share with you the beautiful, fun and creative things I have found for my daughter, by delivering a service that is both personal and convenient. I know how easy we can change our minds so shopping online with “Please Mummy” will accommodate the need to return and exchange without the hassle we often experience in the retail world.
Decision making can be hard enough so “Please Mummy” aims to have things ordered, wrapped and delivered at the click of a button. Please Mummy is a showcase of all our favourites - clothes that children will be pleading to wear, and that mum’s will have a pleasure buying.
